The ABB Infi90 Bridge Controller (BRC400) backup battery provides power for 512 kilobytes of Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM). The NVRAM memory holds the system configuration (control strategy designed with FCs) and files for C applications. NVRAM memory retains whatever information it has, even when it loses power. The battery also provides backup power to maintain the time for Clock and Real-Time Clock functions on the BRC-400.

The battery can be access by pulling out the Bridge Controller card out of the slot.

Remove/Changing the battery of the Bridge Controller (BRC400) is relatively trivial as the YouTube vilog demonstrates. There are 4 pins underneath the battery that establishes power connection and holds the battery in place when it is mounted to the main board.
