I have been in situation where you only have one chance to clear the fault from the PLC and upload the program. I know you are thinking that if the PLC is faulted the whole process is halted and therefore a PLC programmer would have the whole time to fix it. The PLC that I was working with was sending ESD command to the BPC (Basic Plant Control) PLC and to make it worst, the network to the PLC was really slow. If I made a mistake, it would be another 10 minutes and at time 30 minutes depending on the “mood” of the RSlinx.

Well… This vlog will show you how to recover from a faulted PLC and upload your new logic in the PLC.
