Rockwell Automation has made this process as painless as possible by etching their USB driver into the ControlLogix, such that when the ControlLogix PLC is connected to the computer via a USB cable, it automatically start installing the USB driver (call USBCIP). Its a simple way to connect to the ControlLogix if you have physical access to the PLC.
