Android Secret Code

Tech Talk : Android Secret CodeA while ago, I called my Service Provider to unlock my phone since I travel a lot (of course they charge me CAD$50 for this service… what a rip off) and I needed to utilize international SIM card. They asked me for a IMEI number which I found out from them there is a “magical” sequence of number you can enter to get it. Of course, this sparked my curiosity. So for this tech talk topic, we’ll reveal several hidden secret codes which can be used in any Google Android mobile phone to access things which are not accessible by default.
These codes have been obtained by decoding various .apk files present in the phone firmware.

  • Phone information

It’ll NOT remove:

  • Current system software and bundled applications
  • SD card files e.g. photos, music files, etc.
