VNC allow users to remotely access the Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 7 HMI from their Microsoft Windows Desktop. Out-of-the-box, the VNC service is not enabled in the Rockwell PanelView Plus 7. You will have to manually enable it, and this YouTube video shows you how to do that.
What is VNC?
Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a graphical desktop-sharing application that uses the Remote Frame Buffer protocol (RFB) to remotely control another computer.
Is VNC secure?
Out-of-the-box, VNC connections are secure, as the remote connections are encrypted end-to-end, and by default remote computers are protected by a password (for free version) or using system login credentials (for Professional and Enterprise subscriptions).
Difference between Microsoft RDP and VNC?
Microsoft RDP allows for remote connection either as a session or console base connection. Session base connection allows multiple users to access the remote machine, while console base allow only one remote user.
VNC is a console base only connection.
Difference between TeamViewer and VNC?
