I have always pondered, can I edit while the RSLogix5000 is in “Run Mode”. Its a useless test but a good one to know for knowledge enhancement.
Here we go.

You can edit the PLC logic when you are in “Run Mode”. See screen shot below.

However, you cannot verify and upload the changes to the PLC when in “Run Mode” (as the verify buttons are disabled).

Switch the key to “Remote Mode” and after that your verify and uplod to PLC buttons will be visible.
