Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD) is a material that has accurate relationship between resistance and temperature, and hence we can measure temperature using a RTD. RTD can be used for measuring anything below 600 degrees celsius.

In this article I wilL show you how to wire an 3-wire RTD to a Schneider-Electric 4102 MVS terminal block.

This is the RTD we are working with today.

You can see that the 3 wires are red, white and black.

The 3 wires are ran back to the 4102 MVS (Multi Variable Sensor), and it is wired in P4 RTD on the 4102 MVS.

Here is a better view of the terminal block on the 4102 MVS.

I hope that helped and gave you some reference on how to wire a 3-wire RTD to a Schneider-Electric 4102 Multi Variable Sensor (MVS)
